20 anonymous questions to ask friends and creators.

The best starting point is something the other person can answer comfortably. These question ideas invite a conversation without asking for sensitive details.

In Whisperly, check Ask Anonymously before sending if that is the identity mode you want. Our question guide covers the steps. Anonymous mode does not remove personal clues from the words you write.

Everyday questions for friends

  1. What small thing made your day better?
  2. Which song have you had on repeat lately?
  3. What is a simple meal you never get tired of?
  4. What would your ideal slow weekend look like?
  5. Which book, film or series would you recommend right now?

These prompts give someone a choice about how much to share. Avoid turning a light question into a request for their precise location, daily routine or private relationships.

Questions about interests and ideas

  1. What skill would you enjoy learning from scratch?
  2. What topic could you talk about for an hour?
  3. What is a hobby you tried and unexpectedly enjoyed?
  4. Which fictional world would you like to explore for a day?
  5. What is one recommendation that turned out better than you expected?

Follow an answer with curiosity rather than a judgement. “What did you enjoy about it?” gives the other person room to explain.

Questions for creators you follow

  1. What inspired your latest post?
  2. Which part of making that reel took the most practice?
  3. What would you tell someone trying this technique for the first time?
  4. How do you choose which ideas to turn into a finished piece?
  5. What part of your process would you like to show more often?

Connect the question to work the creator has already shared. Respect boundaries around unreleased work, personal life and business information. If you create content yourself, the creator guide explains how to invite useful audience questions.

Playful choices that leave room for a story

  1. Would you rather make a playlist or receive one?
  2. Would you choose a new hobby or a new place to explore?
  3. Do you prefer planning a project or seeing where it goes?
  4. Would you rather revisit a favourite film or try something new?
  5. Which would you keep for a week: music, books or games—and why?

Adding “why” can make a choice more interesting, but the answer does not need to be long. People may simply not feel like replying.

Choose a prompt with care

Use one question at a time. Adapt it to the context and avoid sending the same prompt repeatedly. Do not ask someone to expose passwords, private contact details, intimate material or another person's information. Whisperly's community standards apply to anonymous questions too.

If the exchange calls for back-and-forth conversation, consider messaging where the other person allows it. For the official download and product links, visit the Whisperly app page.
